An eye for an eye, a flip for a flip. After losing four-star wide receiver Iveon Lewis to the in-conference rival South Carolina Gamecocks just days ago, Will Stein and Kentucky have turned around and wreaked the same heartbreaking havoc on the rivals down the road.
Per Hayes Fawcett on X, four-star receiver and Louisville Baseball commitment Tyler Fryman has officially flipped his allegiance from the Cardinals to the Cats. This recruiting victory not only makes up for the loss of Lewis, but further separates Stein from a Louisville team that he's simply outran as of late.
Although, Cards fans have had plenty of time to brace with this one. Fryman first took a visit to Lexington with 13 other players last week (all of whom had already committed to Kentucky), before shortly thereafter cutting ties with Louisville ahead of what seemed like an obvious conclusion.

Now, No. 2 overall quarterback Jake Nawrot has his highest-rated weapon in the 2027-28 class yet, and an already strong pool of new Wildcats for Stein's second year should see another rise in national rankings across the board.
Big Blue Nation, welcome our newest wideout to Kroger Field. Stein, as usual, went and got a stud.
A Closer Look at Tyler Fryman
Fryman, while having made his Kentucky pledge on the backend of a football visit, will likely end up as a two-sport Swiss Army knife in Lexington. He's the No. 1 hitter in the Bluegrass, out of Hebron, KY, as well as a receiver renowned enough to have been pursued by the likes of Notre Dame and Cincinnati, as well as Louisville (but we know how that went).
Fryman joins linebacker Sean Fox as the second in a super recent string of four-star prospects to land in the blue and white. Together, they come in at the third (Fox) and fourth (Fryman) spot in 247Sports' recruiting rankings for Kentucky.
The aforementioned Nawrot slots in at first, while fellow four-star Dominic Block slots in on the offensive line. Stein's first year should be solid this fall, but what lies ahead could skyrocket Kentucky Football into the sort of league-wide limelight that we haven't seen in years.
Future SEC Competitors
Coach Stein, of course, is shooting for nothing short of a national title in Lexington; he's on that Curt Cignetti and Indiana track.
But even if he doesn't fully get there, at least for the time being, it isn't hard to satisfy a fanbase used to negative passing yards and, most recently, a four-win season. Stein simply has to manage a steady climb, and with talent like Fryman joining up on a consistent basis, that shouldn't be an issue.
