Will Stein keeps adding to his four-star war chest as he continues to push Kentucky Football into a new stratosphere on the recruiting trail. In the latest bit of breaking news, four-star defensive lineman Elijah Brown officially committed to Kentucky, per his own X account.
With Brown's pledge, Kentucky has now added four four-star players to Will Stein's first full recruiting class as the head coach, and there appears to be no slowing down on that front for the Wildcats. The hits just keep coming.
Brown is a 6-foot-3, 290-pound disruptor in the middle. And not only did Stein win his recruitment, but he did so over equally hungry SEC rivals. Auburn, Florida, and Missouri all offered Brown, among others.

Elijah Brown Brings Heat to Kentucky's Interior
Pressure right up the middle is regularly cited as the most difficult sort to deal with, from a quarterback's perspective. It forces you off your spot and sends you scrambling before a proper read can be made. Kentucky is getting that kind of force with Elijah Brown.
Brown's tape exhibits a suddenness like that of a elite pass rusher on the next level, but his best attribute is his physical strength. That's great news for Kentucky, especially so once he hits the Wildcats weight room; that'll only become more daunting for opponents.
Even more important for the defense as a whole, Brown has a motor. Players his size don't always rally to the ball, but the Cats are getting a big defender with a constant nose for the ball. The effort is there on nearly every play. That kind of pursuit is what takes a good player, with all the necessary intangibles, and makes them great.
As for Stein, he continues to redefine the blue and white on the gridiron. He has the players coming in to back up his bravado and has deemed Lexington a place where he can win, and win big. If Stein can keep reeling in four-star fish like they're blue gill in your neighbor's pond, winning at a high level may happen a lot sooner than even the most optimistic Kentucky Football fans expected.
Forgive me, BBN, if I hit the "we back" button too soon. It just feels right.
