Will Stein continues to bring absolutely massive names to Lexington. Getting them on campus is step one. And right now? He is mastering that step.

Zeke Ayangbile, an elite four-star defensive lineman out of Houston, Texas, is officially planning to visit Kentucky this summer.

Ayangbile is a consensus top-200 recruit. And according to early whispers from recruiting insiders, his recruitment might already be heading toward a massive two-team battle between Ohio State and Kentucky.

Obviously, any official commitment is still a long way off. But it is incredibly nice to be firmly entrenched in that top tier.

Here is how his current official visit schedule is stacking up:

  • Arizona State: April 19
  • Ohio State: May 29
  • Virginia Tech: June 5
  • Miami: June 12
  • Kentucky: June 19

The pros and cons of being the final summer visit of Ezekiel Ayangbile

There are really two different ways to look at holding that final visit slot on June 19.

On one hand, you get to make the absolute final impression. You can leave a lasting, emotional impact right before a player sits down to make their ultimate decision. Kentucky will have the final shot of the summer to make an impression heading into the fall.

On the other hand? You can easily fall victim to the dreaded "I fell in love with another campus" syndrome. A recruit takes an earlier visit, gets completely swept off their feet, and either cancels their remaining trips entirely or shows up to your campus just going through the motions. That happens a lot in high-stakes recruiting.

But simply getting a visit locked in is exactly where Kentucky wants to be right now.

Just like Kentucky keeps bringing in elite quarterbacks for high-profile visits, they are now stockpiling top-tier talent all over the field. Will Stein is building a rock-solid foundation.

The next step? Actually getting them to commit. But let's celebrate the wins along the way, this is definitely one of them.
