Most all of the attention on Kentucky Football in the past few months has been centered on Will Stein's hot streak on the recruiting trail, and rightfully so. Especially as far as the 2027-28 class goes, Stein's efforts have widely rebuilt the program's reputation in the public eye.
Kentucky now has a head coach that is not only formidable on the field, evidenced by his revered offensive play-calling with the Oregon Ducks, but off it, too. Most recently, the Cats' new captain beat out Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers for a coveted four-star recruit. I'm not saying the Wildcats will immediately ascend to Coach Cig's national champion status... but I'm also not saying they won't.
What's hope without a little well-meaning delusion?
Fan philosophies aside, Cats fans can momentarily stop scrolling recruiting boards and hoping for blue and white crystal ball predictions. On X, Kentucky Football officially revealed kickoff times for the entire 2026-27 schedule.
Start planning your tailgates accordingly, BBN. We've got a solid spread of spotlit games at Kroger Field this season.
A Solid Spread at Kroger Field
Kickoff times were first revealed for Alabama and Texas A&M before the rest of the team's slate was fully laid out this week. Every one of the Wildcats' first four games take place in the early afternoon, before the latter half of the season gives way to Kroger Field's beloved night games.

Naturally, Kentucky's rivalry battle with the Louisville Cardinals will revert back to the noon/1:00 PM fixture. But as far as notable matchups to look out and potentially plan for, aside from the surefire sellout Alabama game on September 12, three stand out to me.
Three Notable Matchups
Kentucky is set to host LSU, Vanderbilt, and Florida at home in Coach Stein's first season, and each game is set to start between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. All three present massive opportunities for Stein to secure a signature win early in his tenure, and each also give Kentucky fans the entire afternoon prior to kickoff to get Kroger Field where it needs to be.
These late times, combined with lowered concession prices across the board, should make the football experience in Lexington unlike any in recent memory. If the team themselves can live up to the relatively mild expectations the BBN has for them fresh off a rebuild, we could be in for some all-time crowd pops.
Win one of the Alabama, LSU, Vanderbilt, and Florida matchups, and you've got a memorable start. Split the four, we're looking at a surprise bowl game. Any more wins than that may cause Kroger Field itself to cave in. I can't wait to see what this Wildcats team brings to the gridiron in the fall.
