Kentucky can't let this elite WR leave Lexington after flipping Kenny Minchey

Get it done Will.

The portal moves fast, sometimes faster than we can keep up. Minds were blown across Lexington and Lincoln when news broke that Kentucky would be flipping Kenny Minchey from Nebraska to Kentucky.

Now the next step is surrounding him with the talent needed to be competitive in the SEC. That starts with not allowing Auburn's WR Malcom Simmons leave campus. Simmons is currently in Lexington, what better time for Minchey to make his introductions.

Malcom Simmons is a speed merchant

Things get much easier on a QB when you can throw it 4 yards, and a guy can take it 50 yards. Those guys are rare. Simmons is that guy. He has multiple catch-and-run plays of 40+ yards in his career at Auburn, and that is with what most would consider flawed QB play and Hugh Freeze. You can click here to see our full breakdown on Simmons.

Pairing a top 10 quarterback in Minchey with a top 10 wide receiver in Malcom Simmons is a dream scenario for BBN. You have a guy who can make moves with his feet and arm throwing to a guy who can take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

Our friend Nicholas Rome over at Saturday Blitz had this to say about Simmons:

"Heading into his Sophomore season, Malcolm Simmons was expected to become an integral piece of the Auburn passing attack, but Jackson Arnold's struggles held the entire unit back. At the end of the season when a quarterback change was finally made, Simmons broke out with 292 yards and 2 touchdowns in the final two games.

Auburn never unlocked Malcolm Simmons in the intermediate passing game as he only caught 2 passes on routes he ran of 10-19 yards. Landing in an offense with a solid quarterback could unlock Simmons as he's made an impact as a deep threat, and could truly explode..."

That is a great scouting report if you are a Kentucky football fan. Don't let him leave, Lexington Joe. Minchey would be a huge upgrade over Arnold and Daniels. He could really take off in Lexington in Will Stein's system.
