Kentucky battling bitter rivals for the commitment of 4-star cornerback Miles Brown

Will Stein and Kentucky are in the mix for a big prospect on the defensive end, though not without a pair of familiar opposing programs.

Will Stein has made ample noise in the few months since his hiring as Kentucky Football's head coach. Not only did he fire fans up at his press conference - and with a dozen and one quotable lines since - but his work on the recruiting trail has been truly second to none.

At least, as far as folks in Lexington are concerned. Time and time again, Stein has beat out fellow competitive programs for big-name recruits on his way to a top 10 recruiting class. Now, he's approaching another opportunity to keep his hot streak alive.

Per Rivals, four-star cornerback Miles Brown has officially set his commitment date, set to go live on the Rivals YouTube channel. On May 19, the stud defender will choose between the Wildcats, Louisville, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.

Once again, Coach Stein finds himself running with the big dogs. It won't be long before we if he can find a way to win this battle as he has numerous others.

Winning the Big Battles

As Stein prepares to go head-to-head with the rival Cardinals and Volunteers - something he hasn't been shy about, especially regarding the former - it's simply a matter of rinsing and repeating his formula.

Just last week, Stein beat out South Carolina and Virginia Tech (now coached by longtime Kentucky hater James Franklin) for four-star wide receiver Iveon Lewis. He also announced his commitment on the Rivals YouTube channel.

Coincidence? Probably, but stay with me.

As far as Brown is concerned, no official crystal ball has been put in to predict his commitment just yet. Although he did visit Kentucky back in April, and according to 247Sports' Tom Loy, "the trip couldn't have gone better."

The smoke is clearly rising around Brown's big blue connection. Although, all three of the aforemetioned competing programs are making similarly strong pushes for the corner. It'll be a good ol' fashioned recruit-out as the week winds down.

A Multi-Faceted Athlete

Brown, coming in at a spry 5-foot-11, 188 pounds, spearheads the class of 2027 as a top 50 player at his position. He played football, basketball, and baseball in high school, but the gridiron is where his potential seems to truly skyrocket.

Andrew Ivins noted that Brown totaled 39 tackles and three interceptions in 2024, a season in which the prospect played both sides of the ball. As a receiver, he caught 54 passes for 16 scores, finishing just under 1,000 yards.

This is a prospect with rare hands that would serve as a noteworthy addition to Stein's 2027 squad. The Cats have already put together a strong, competitive group; Brown's commitment would be the latest win in a string of such outcomes for Stein and his staff.

BBN, tune in when Brown goes live and show him love from the best fanbase in the world!
