One of the top point guards in the class of 2018 has cut his list to four school. He lists the Kentucky Basketball program among those schools.

John Calipari has made his living with star point guards. Kentucky Basketball has thrived in the Calipari era on the backs of top ranked point guard recruits. Immanuel Quickley, a five star point guard out of the John Carroll School in Maryland is the fifth rated guard in the class of 2018 according to 247Sports.

Quickley is a 6-foot-3, 185 pound point guard with a quick dribble. He lists Miami (FL), Maryland, and Kansas along with Kentucky in his final four schools.

According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, experts have Kentucky in the lead with 55 percent votes going toward the Wildcats. John Calipari has a great run of guards on his resume and would love to add Quickley to the Kentucky Basketball tradition.

 Mad Skills

Quickley separates himself from others by way of his skill sets. The things he can do with the ball in his hands makes him dangerous. There isn’t a lack of confidence in Quickley’s game which the BBN will absolutely love. He is energetic on the floor and loves to get into the flow of the game. The Maryland native can distribute the basketball to the other four spots on the floor and can serve as a floor general in nearly any offensive scheme. Off the dribble, defenders must respect his shot as well as his driving abilities.

Kentucky and John Calipari are looking to build yet another top ranked recruiting class. Who knows what kind of team will be returning to add to the 2018 class? One could venture that there will be multiple parts from the 2017 class return to school to be major factors in their sophomore season. Adding a facilitator like Quickley, to any version of athletes currently at Kentucky could spell danger for college basketball.
