It’s never too early to start thinking about the next great recruiting class that will make their way to Lexington. Kentucky Basketball better get on these guys quick.

The list is pretty mighty in terms of talent. Kentucky Basketball is running the recruiting game here lately. With offers to many of the 247Sports top 25 players, there are a few that Kentucky fans need to know.

Marvin Bagley:

Bagley is the top player in the class. Some have said that Mr. Bagley is the best prep player that they’ve seen live in quite some time. The thing about Marvin Bagley that makes him unique is his athleticism. At 6-foot-11 he can spread the floor and defend the rim. Offensively, he can score at will. The ability to catch the lob and throw it down with ease in transition. That’s something that Kentucky Basketball loves to do. He would fit right in with the style of play that John Calipari is known for.

Zion Williamson:

Let’s be clear, the whole world knows about this kid. At 6-foot-8, Williamson is a force to be reckoned with. Another weapon in transition for John Calipari could be pretty dangerous. To be quite honest, the kid hates basketball rims and tries to bring down the house each time he plays. The question with Williamson is whether or not his game will translate to the college floor. Zion will be able to show his athleticism with the style of play. And, if Calipari can reel in Bagley as well as Williamson, Lexington will become Lob City for real.

Romeo Langford:

Langford is the top shooting guard in the class of 2018. An Indiana native growing up so close to Kentucky has to have a feeling of what’s going on in Lexington. He’s seen the evolution of recruiting at Kentucky and has witnessed the development of some of the NBA’s biggest stars. These kids want to make it to the NBA and why not get the NBA treatment at Kentucky to prepare them? Langford, a 6-foot-5 guard who can score from anywhere on the floor. He’s got a smooth stroke and a quick handle that translates well in what John Calipari aims to do.

Immanuel Quickley:

Quick is an understatement when describing this point guard. John Calipari has a knack for snagging some of the best point guard prospects in the country. With the likes of John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, and De’Aaron Fox, who can argue his track record? Quickley is the type of guard that would thrive at Kentucky. Although he isn’t the top guard in the class, he would be considered a great addition to any team. I like quickly based on his ability to manipulate defenses. He isn’t the biggest guard at 6-foot-3 but he plays big.

He can knock down shots on the perimeter as well as hit the mid-range jumper. A guard who can spread the floor and distribute points to his teammates as well as knock down any shot that the defense gives him is a weapon in my book. Snag him up. Kentucky Basketball is currently leading the Crystal Ball predictions at 50 percent of the vote.
