Kentucky got some good news yesterday with the news that CB Nate Willis will be eligible this year. There is pressure on Willis to step up and produce this year. And Willis has missed valuable time working with UK’s strength coach Erik Korem.
"The biggest concern might be getting in football shape. The UK players who were on campus over the summer participated in new “high performance” coach Erik Korem’s meticulous program for getting the Wildcats in better condition. The results have been noticeable so far this fall. Working with Korem and his staff is something that could especially benefit Willis. “Some of those South Florida kids — they don’t lift,” Minnick said. “They’re not in a good lifting program. And then when you get them they don’t like to lift, and you’re on their ass all the time about it. “And (Willis is) one we had to stay on about lifting all the time. But once he gets to that level there, you’re eating right and getting all of those nutritional drinks and stuff that they get free. It’ll help him build up some muscle mass and he’ll be fine after that.” Minnick said Willis will need to gain that strength to go up against the higher level of competition he’ll face over the next two seasons. “He’s going to have to come up and mix it up as a corner,” he said. “I know in the SEC that you have to have corners who will mix it up a little bit. That’s his biggest thing. He’s going to have to get used to the physical play of the SEC.”"

Mark Stoops has done a great job recruiting OHio so far, but one of his biggest targets will be taking a visit to the Kentucky Louisville game.
"With 31 scholarship offers to his credit, Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods offensive tackle George Brown is one of the Midwest’s most highly recruited class of 2015 prospects. The 6-foot-6, 253-pound Brown has been actively traveling to college campuses this off-season, and he plans to keep that going this fall. This past weekend, Brown sat down and scheduled a slew of unofficial, game day visits. “I was looking at the schedules and picked a few games I wanted to go to,” Brown said. “These are the ones I knew for sure.” The schools Brown plans to visit are Georgia on Sept. 9, Kentucky on Sept. 14, Florida on Sept. 21, Clemson on Sept. 28, Auburn on Oct. 5 and Vanderbilt on Oct. 19. Brown has already visited most of those campuses once before, but looks forward to the unique experience a game visit provides. “I just want to get a feel for the atmosphere, see how it is during game time,” he said. “I want to see how the players do and how the coaches coach during the game."
