De’Aaron Fox was chosen by the Sacramento Kings with the fifth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He is the first Kentucky Basketball player to come off the board.

Kentucky Basketball has made it’s name in the NBA Draft. John Calipari’s players are going to get drafted if they choose to come to Kentucky. At Kentucky, De’Aaron Fox was a force to be reckoned with. Also, he ran the offense that took the Wildcats to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Fox is one of the Draft’s best player.

This season, Fox averaged nearly 17 points, four rebounds and almost five assists per game. Additionally, the highlight of Fox’s season includes a triple double against Arizona State on November 28. He also torched UCLA’s Lonzo Ball for 39 points in the Sweet Sixteen.

Lonzo Ball was the second overall pick to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Ball, along with many other college one and done players will be making their way to the NBA. De’Aaron Fox may have had the most movement in mock drafts. But, he has found his home now in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Kings

Kentucky Basketball has now taken over the Kings’ roster. Willie Cauley-Stein and Skal Labissiere are already making their names in Sacramento. De’Aaron Fox will become an immediate entity in the Kings’ offense.

De’Aaron Fox is the fastest player available in the draft. He is an enigma with the basketball in his hands. With a young roster that includes Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, along with Skal and Willie Fox will provide this team with much needed spark at the point guard spot. Currently, Ty Lawson, Aaron Afflalo and Ben McLemore are holding down the point guard duties. Now, with the inclusion of De’Aaron Fox, the Kings will have another Kentucky tool to work with.
