Kevin Knox is a superb athlete. Kentucky Basketball is getting an efficient scorer and a superstar caliber individual.

Kevin Knox in a Kentucky Basketball uniform is enough of a visual to make Cats fans giddy. The excitement around the program now is almost unbearable to other teams and programs. Fans of other top programs are obviously upset at Knox’s choice. It may come across as overkill to some, but for the Big Blue Nation, its right in the wheelhouse. Kentucky fans have a stigma nowadays. But, after adding Knox to the 2017-18 roster, expect fireworks from the BBN.

Knox is an incredible athlete on the basketball floor. He is ranked in the top 10 of every national recruiting service. The 6-foot-9 small forward is a walking highlight film. A leaping ability rivaled by few in the prep circuit allows Knox to score around the rim.

The list goes on…

For Kentucky to make a run at the title, John Calipari needed someone like Knox to add to the ongoing list of recruits. Technically, Calipari was sitting good with the commitments that he already had. The facts are simple, championship teams have scorers, defenders, rebounders and length. The squad of recruits set to make their way to Lexington checks all of those boxes.

Knox is an added scorer to pair with Jarred Vanderbilt. He is an option for Quade Green to create space and distribute the ball to. Kentucky’s newest commit is also another lengthy body to add on the wing to defend opposing three point shooters. Knox has the length and athleticism to guard all positions. The crazy thing is, Kentucky can still have room to add to their top class. The number two player in the country is still yet to make a college decision.
