How much fun did you have when Oweh got that rebound? Kentucky battled through a Duke team that tried to be physical. Kentucky took that and then gave it back to Duke, as the Blue Devils eventually crumbled under the late assault from the veteran Cats.
Now on to maybe the best part of being a fan: rubbing it in the losing team's face. Let's take a look around social media, as Duke fans are trying hard to cope with how they lost with all that talent. Looking at you, Jay Williams, who at halftime said when Duke was up 9 that it was the most talented Duke team since 2001. If that is the case, buckle up, BBN. It's going to be a fun ride.
A nice welcome to the Mark Pope era from those over at the College Basketball Report:

Kentucky won a big game, and that means no couch is safe:
Kentucky students lit the street on fire after beating Duke 😭 The best fanbase in basketball. pic.twitter.com/6wg3QPFVO3

Is there any doubt that college basketball is the best version of basketball?

Duke fans aren't as enthused:
Hate to say this but Duke basketball's biggest weakness is Jon Scheyer. This is a very clear example of how to lose a game. The same issues from the last 2 seasons. Lack of adjustments, Not utilizing the bench, Excessive 1 on 1 play(even after a timeout‼️) HE'S GOT TO BE BETTER
— Sports King🔥 (@Sports_Kings_) November 13, 2024
You gotta be fucking kidding me. Missed it and they got the fucking board. Same old duke. Soft ass offense, bad shooting, hero ball bullshit, defensive lapses, lack of identity and a coaching that crumbles like a house of cards in big moments time and time again.

Super pathetic half of basketball
— Woah. (@Woah_Duke7) November 13, 2024
Kentucky fans have an inferiority complex towards Duke. Idk if it’s from Laettner or Duke blowing the brakes off of Kentucky with Zion or Cal going 1-3 against them. I’ve seen “biggest regular season win” on Twitter. Poor state of basketball in Lexington I feel sorry for you
— craig cook (@Craig_ACook) November 13, 2024
Kentucky fans love seeing Duke fans coping after a loss; if Lexington is in a poor basketball state, what does that mean in Durham?
As fun as it may be for Kentucky fans to look at another fanbase's misery, it's time to look at some Kentucky thoughts:
Cal doesn’t win that game. Kentucky may be back

No Kentucky basketball for a week pic.twitter.com/ee25wCQ3Xf

Don't feel too bad, that just gives fans longer to bask in the glory of knocking off Duke.
When Mark Pope talks about the “connected tissue” of the team. I’m pretty sure our basketball coach is a Doctor. Because he is. Med school Mark. Love him! #bbn #markpope #kentucky
— Kim Soper (@KimSoper) November 13, 2024
Mark Pope has some epic press conferences, and how he tries to explain things definitely screams Rhodes Scholar.
I have renewed faith in Kentucky basketball during the mark pope era. he's smart and really cares about his players. he could turn into a younger version of rick pitino. big blue nation should be ecstatic
— Dick Weiss (@HoopsWeiss) November 13, 2024
Young Tim Couch in football, and young RIck Pitino on the sidelines of Rupp Arena? Could be a fun few years.
Over the last 5-10 years, we lose tonight's game by double digits

It's a new day and age in Kentucky basketball 🏀 #BBN pic.twitter.com/cPqRRIFN4S
We don’t just play college basketball, we ARE college basketball.

And that's a wrap on some of the best social media reactions from the Kentucky win over Duke. Now go on and check out this cool website for the next few days diddukewin.com
The Cats will not be back in action until next Tuesday when Lipscomb comes to Rupp. Enjoy it, Kentucky fans; you deserve it.
