One Wildcat makes All-SEC teams — and he was a “0”
The SEC’s 2025 Preseason All-SEC Teams were released Thursday, and with 100+ names listed, Kentucky fans had to scroll a long way to find a Wildcat. But when they got there, it was worth the wait.
Aidan Laros, Kentucky’s steady-footed punter, earned a third-team All-SEC nod — a massive leap for a guy who was infamously rated as a zero in the toughness category of EA Sports College Football 26.
He won’t be a zero much longer.
Laros was the only Kentucky player honored across the three-deep All-SEC list voted on by media at SEC Media Days in Birmingham. While other programs like Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and LSU had multiple first-teamers, Kentucky’s presence was limited — yet meaningful.

Here’s a quick look at the headliners:
First-Team QB: LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina
RBs: Quintrevion Wisner (Texas), Le'Veon Moss (Texas A&M)
WRs: Ryan Williams (Alabama), Cam Coleman (Auburn)
TE: Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt
Defense: Dylan Stewart (South Carolina), Colin Simmons (Texas), Christian Miller (Georgia), Anthony Hill Jr. (Texas), CJ Allen (Georgia), KJ Bolden (Georgia)
Specialists: Brett Thorson and Peyton Woodring (Georgia), Zachariah Branch (Georgia)
Texas dominated the teams in their SEC debut, with Arch Manning making the third-team and five Longhorns across offense and defense. Georgia led the way in special teams.
But for Kentucky, the story is Aidan Laros.
His inclusion proves the game ratings don’t always get it right. Punting might not sell jerseys, but flipping field position is how you win games — especially when you're projected to finish next to last in the league. If Laros is among the best, Kentucky has at least one elite weapon in the arsenal.
Call it a small win, or a building block. Either way, it’s real — and the next time EA Sports updates that toughness rating, they better put some respect on Aidan Laros.
