Mark Stoops uses one word to describe Kendrick Law: 'Violent'

Cutter Boley may have had the most efficient game of his career, but his favorite target, Kendrick Law, had the most "amazing" one.

Law was a machine, hauling in 11 catches for 124 yards. He was the consistent, go-to weapon for the offense all afternoon. But it was one specific play that had Mark Stoops raving in the post-game press conference.

“Amazing. Really impressive,” Stoops said when asked about Law. “I'm not sure there was an incompletion his way... But the one on the sideline was really impressive... Kendrick made an impressive catch, and then the run he had was unbelievably physical.”

Stoops, who was on that sideline, was stunned by the physicality of the play.

“I think some of you were down in that left side, but it was violent. I mean, he's a strong dude.”

The wide receiver room is finally 'settling in'

Law's monster day was the centerpiece of a wide receiver group that Stoops says has finally found its groove. After struggling for consistency and dealing with injuries, the group is stepping up.

“I'm impressed with the way they're playing,” Stoops said. “They've been settling in the past 2, 3, 4 weeks and just really impressed. I think more and more guys are stepping up. We can count on a pretty good nucleus of these guys right now... They've been unselfish. They've been blocking on the perimeter. They're doing a lot of good things.”

Earlier in the year the room just could not separate and struggled to find consistency. However, the last few games you can see the entire WR room taking a big step forward.

With Law emerging as a "violent" primary target, Hardley Gilmore IV providing the deep-threat splash, and DJ Miller and Ja'Mori Maclin providing support, the passing attack looks more dangerous than it has all season.
