The art of the schedule reveal has become one of the most underrated trends on college sports, and Kentucky Women's Basketball just made a bid for one of the best in recent memory. In a video on the team's social media, the Cats come together to play an SEC-specific version of 'Heads Up.'
Essentially, someone holds a phone to their head and the rest of the room has to help them guess the word on it. The result was the entire team doing alligator arms for Florida, as well as other similarly silly gestures to slowly reveal Kentucky's conference slate.
Not only is this a clever way to reveal the SEC schedule, but it's a sneak peek for the Big Blue Nation into the bond that this team is developing with one another. Between the women's schedule clip and the men hitting the lake with one another, we should have two tight-knit groups in Lexington.

Beyond the fun and games, the team's SEC outlook has more than a few interesting elements worth a second look. What is arguably Kenny Brooks' best team yet in Lexington will still have to undergo their typical conference gauntlet.
Kentucky Will Have to Endure Another SEC Gauntlet This Season
That gauntlet couldn't be better exemplified than it is in the Wildcats' Dec. 31 matchup with the aforementioned Florida. Brooks and his squad will travel down to Gainesville to begin conference play just before the new year, and the hill only gets steeper from there.
Directly following a visit to Missouri to face the Tigers on Jan. 7, Kentucky will head back to Historic Memorial Coliseum to face down the ever-daunting Texas Longhorns. Both of the Cats' meetings with the Longhorns ended in defeat last season, with the second meeting ending in a 22-point loss in the Sweet 16. Hosting that one helps, but that's still a particularly brutal two-game stretch.
The early-schedule battle with Texas begins a three-game homestand, where Arkansas and Tennessee are set to follow. From there, the Wildcats will notably have to visit the likes of South Carolina and Tennessee, while LSU will have to come to Lexington.
Kentucky's regular-season SEC run will come to an end against Mississippi State on Feb. 28, and that bout is also at home. Despite the release not revealing anything unexpected, the Wildcats will still have their hands full in the latter half of the 2026-27 season.
Coach Brooks has all the ingredients to push this team over the top and into unmarked tournament territory, but the SEC awaits as always to spoil a great team's hopes and dreams.
