The Kentucky Wildcats’ women’s basketball team isn’t just winning on the court—they’re dominating the awards circuit, too. Standout performers Georgia Amoore and Clara Strack have both been racking up national recognition, proving that the Wildcats are a force to be reckoned with this season.

Georgia Amoore: A Playmaker at the Pinnacle

Georgia Amoore has been nothing short of spectacular, running the Wildcats’ offense with precision and flair. Before a bit of foul trouble against Ole Miss limited her minutes, Amoore led the nation in assists. She’s now just 0.1 assists per game behind the leader, but her impact remains undeniable.

Her dominance has earned her a spot on the John R. Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20 Watch List, announced by the Los Angeles Athletic Club on Tuesday. The prestigious list features the top 20 candidates vying for the Wooden Award® Most Outstanding Player and the Wooden Award® All-American Team, selected by a panel of national basketball experts.

Amoore’s resume this season is staggering. She’s averaging 22.2 points and 7.6 assists per game in SEC play, proving she thrives in the toughest competition. She’s scored in double figures in all but one game this year and has hit the 20-point mark in 11 contests.

Her accolades keep piling up:

Clara Strack: Dominating the Paint

While Amoore commands the backcourt, Clara Strack has been a force inside. The 6-foot-5 center has been named a finalist for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award, recognizing the nation’s top post player.

Strack is putting up 15.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.3 blocks, and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 47.6% from the field this season. Her versatility is evident—she’s knocked down 11 three-pointers while controlling the paint with her shot-blocking and rebounding.

In SEC play, she hasn’t missed a beat. Despite playing in a new conference, she’s still averaging 14.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game, while hitting 44.2% from the field and stretching defenses with seven made three-pointers.
