As Michigan State transfer Jaxon Kohler waits for his fifth year of eligibility to be greenlit, his dad is on social media straight-up dunking on Tennessee fans with the Big Blue Nation. Kohler isn't yet a Wildcat, but you have to take it as a positive sign that his dad is directly replying to posts about his mutual interest with Kentucky like this.
After BigBlueDylan posted a rumor about Kohler and his family having a Zoom call with Kentucky, a member of the Volunteer faithful decided to pop into the replies, saying, "He isn't gonna be able to transfer bro." It was no time later that Jeff Kohler tapped in to clarify.
He responded: "Yes he will. See the Georgia case today?" Jeff Kohler is referencing 20 college athletes who were granted an extra year of eligibility, seeming to suggest that it was only a matter of time before his son is given the same benefit.

Priceless stuff from a Tennessee fan disconnected from the scenario. Although, if I were pulling for the Volunteers, I'd be scared of Kentucky landing Kohler too. He's a perfect fit for the Mark Pope offense, and the possibility of him ending up in Lexington is looking better and better.

If Kohler ended up in the blue and white, he'd most likely click into the starting power forward spot between Milan Momcilovic and Malachi Moreno. Last season with the Spartans, Kohler was putting up 12.5 points and nearly nine boards per contest.
Bordering on a nightly double-double, the stretch big also managed to shoot a notable 38.9% clip from distance. Adding Momcilovic did enough for Pope's notorious three-point philosophy, but Kohler adds an another element for opposing defenses to worry about.
Compared to Kentucky's already workable options at power forward, Kohler brings a greater scoring ability, as well as Power Four experience, both of which would make his transition to the SEC that much easier.
We've still got a little ways to go before Kohler's recruitment pans out either way, as whether or not he receives an injunction in California will determine his eligibility. But his dad warring alongside Cats fans on social media is more than enough reason to keep an eye on this recruitment for now.
