The portal is officially open, and Will Stein is in Lexington trying to secure a Transfer Portal haul. The first round of visitors has been locked in and has a common theme: the offensive line.
Will Stein's first round of Transfer Portal visitors:
Marquis Johnson — Wide receiver (Missouri)
Kentucky fans already know Johnson’s name, whether they want to or not. His fake-punt touchdown at Kroger Field in Missouri’s win felt like the moment the Stoops era began to unravel. But beyond that single play, Johnson has been a steady producer in the SEC.
He recorded 300+ receiving yards in all three seasons at Missouri, finishing his career there with over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns. Johnson brings speed, experience, and one year left to prove he can be a featured piece in the right offense.
Tavion Wallace — Linebacker (Arkansas)
This one will feel personal for Kentucky fans. Wallace is the younger brother of Trevin Wallace, whose blocked-kick touchdown against Florida remains one of the loudest moments Kroger Field has ever seen. Tavion carved his own path as a highly rated high school prospect (4-star) and All-American talent before playing at Arkansas.
Ory Williams — Offensive tackle (LSU)
Williams is the long-term swing at tackle. At 6-foot-8, 335 pounds, he looks the part and has already logged meaningful SEC snaps despite being early in his career. He played both sides of the line at LSU and stepped into the starting lineup when injuries piled up, including starts against Arkansas and Western Kentucky.
Williams would be a developmental investment, but one with a massive ceiling if Kentucky believes new line coach Cutter Leftwich can unlock the potential.
Tyree Adams — Offensive tackle (LSU)
Adams was trending toward a breakout season before injuries slowed him down. After earning LSU’s starting left tackle job in 2025, he opened the year strong, starting eight straight games before missing time. When he returned late in the season, he didn’t look rusty, and the numbers back that up.
He allowed just 11 pressures across nine games, a strong mark considering LSU’s offensive woes. And he has never allowed a sack through his 11 games with LSU. I'd say that's pretty good.
Xavier Chaplin — Offensive tackle (Auburn)
Chaplin brings the kind of résumé Kentucky has been missing at offensive tackle. A former Virginia Tech starter, he earned third-team All-American recognition early in his career before adding All-ACC honorable mention honors the following season. After transferring to Auburn, Chaplin locked down the left tackle spot and started every game in 2025. But fans were not thrilled with his performance, as he became known for getting false start penalties nearly every game.
Ian Geffrard — Defensive Line (Arkansas)
At 6'5 and 389 pounds, Ian is a mountain of a man who knows his role: plug the holes in the run game. He did that very well at Arkansas and will look to replicate that wherever he goes. He is not much of a pass-rush threat, but not everyone on your defensive line needs to be. He leaves the Razorbacks with 39 tackles in 19 games over 3 years. He will be a redshirt junior with 2 years of eligibility left. He currently has visits set up to SMU, Auburn, Texas, and Kentucky.
Kourtney Kelly — Defensive Line (West Georgia)
Kourtney Kelly is a name to watch among all college football, he has 2 visits set right now. One to Clemson on the 5th and one to Kentucky on the 7th. According to PFF, he was graded out as a 73.4 prospect, or in other words, he performed at a starter level. He finished the season with 4 sacks and 17 tackles from an inside rush position. Not the flashiest name, but definitely a productive one.
Coleton Price — Offensive Line (Baylor)
Seeing a pattern here? Will Stein is clearly investing in the trenches, and that is where games are won and lost, not only in the SEC but every level of football. Price brings a calmness to the center position Kentucky will need under Will Stein. He graded out as the 2nd best center in the Big 12 last year at 6'3 and 318 pounds.
Will Stein is keying in on the offensive line rebuild in a big way. He has offered multiple high school talents and now focuses on the portal. Stay tuned to our Transfer Portal tracker here.
