Remember Trevin Wallace? I bet you remember this run back against Florida:

A 78-yard blocked field goal helped Kentucky knock off the Gators. Now Kentucky is recruiting his younger brother Tavion, who entered the Transfer Portal after 1 season at Arkansas. He will be visiting Kentucky this weekend, according to Hayes Fawcett.
Tavion Wallace has a lot of potential
Tavion was a 4-star linebacker out of Georgia committing to the Razorbacks under Sam Pittman over programs like Georgia, Florida, and Florida State. He has a track background, where he ran a 10.61 in the 100-meter dash and a 22.44 in the 200-meter dash. So, he shares Trevin's speed.
While Tavion did not play much this year, he did play more than 4 games, which means he will not be able to use this as his redshirt year and will have 4 years to play 3 at whatever school he chooses to enroll in. He finished the season with two tackles, both coming in the early-season game against Arkansas St.
The production at the college level is not there yet. And to borrow a phrase from Mark Pope, yet is the most powerful word in the dictionary. That means the potential is there; it just needs to be unlocked.

"Premium athletic traits show up often when rushing the passer off the edge or as a blitzer at the prep level, but isn't strictly a pass-rusher at this stage of his development. Shows nuance reading the triangle when fitting runs inside the box and will strike upon impact. Also can flow laterally with the ball or recover quickly to cover grass from sideline to sideline. Might not be the most instinctive coverage defender but shines playing man-to-man, and should advance rapidly in coverage with collegiate coaching."
That screams Jay Bateman, who wants fast and aggressive players on defense. Being able to cover backs and TE's 1-on-1 is an elite trait for a linebacker. With the proper coaching, Wallace could find himself playing on Sundays like his brother, who was a 3rd round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2024.
The family connection is there. Will Wallace be the first commitment of a wild transfer portal window? We will find out soon enough.
