Kentucky football lands big 4-star WR commitment
By Mark Knight
Kentucky football landed a prized recruit in Dejerrian “DJ” Miller out of Cardinal Ritter Prep in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a 4-star wide receiver and immediately becomes one of the best commitments in the 2025 Kentucky recruiting class.
Miller is a 4-star recruit ranked by Rivals, 3-star by On3.com, and 3-star (with an 88 grade) by 24/7 Sports. He's a rising wide receiver recruit in the 2025 class and had some big offers from teams like Illinois, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Indiana, Colorado, and many others. He eventually narrowed his choices down to the Ole Miss Rebels, the Tennessee Volunteers, and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Today, he publicly declared for the Wildcats and looks forward to suiting up in blue and white next season. He made this decision before the football signing period begins on December 20th.
This is a big pickup for a program that has struggled on the field this year, going 4-7 and 1-7 in the SEC. Kentucky football is looking to rebuild the roster and make a bigger splash on the field next year with more wins in the pocket.
This could be the very commitment that Mark Stoops alluded to in his coach's show comments yesterday. He was nearly 10 minutes late for his show and excused himself because he was on the phone with a "prospect." He told the show that he anticipated the conversation only taking 15 minutes, but it was a 30-minute commitment. He obviously couldn't tell fans who the player is without that player being officially signed. Miller committing the next day seems to indicate that it was the prized wide receiver that Stoops was on the phone with.
This commitment keeps the Kentucky Wildcats in the top 30 recruiting rankings for the 2025 recruiting class. 24/7 Sports currently lists them as #27.
