Everyone remembers exactly where they were standing during iconic sports moments. For me, when Patrick Sparks sent the game to overtime against Michigan State in 2005, I was in my bedroom, and I leapt up so high I nearly hit my ceiling fan. When Kentucky won in 2012, I was jumping up and down with my brother in a craze of joy. I am sure every single one of you reading this has a story that instantly comes to mind when you think of your absolute favorite Kentucky basketball memories.

Yesterday was officially another one of those days that will be remembered from now on, no matter how the season ends.

When it mattered the absolute most, with the season hanging by a thread, Otega Oweh hit a half-court buzzer-beater that will be played in March Madness highlight reels forever. One Shining Moment got another addition.

The national sports world and celebrities have already had their say about the chaotic overtime survival against Santa Clara. Now, the Big Blue Nation legends are chiming in. There is a different level of pride when you have worn the jersey, and the former players were just as stunned as the fans in the stands.

Here is how the Kentucky basketball brotherhood reacted to Oweh's season-saving miracle:

Former Kentucky PG Domnique Hawkins had a simple reaction

The Blonde Bomber Jay Shidler was all about Otega:

Tyrese Maxey remembers how COVID robbed him of his March Madness experience:

Reggie Hansen had an outlook similar to Jamal Mashburn, that he is happy to win, but changes are needed:

Tony Delk did his body language do the talking:

Kelenna Azubuike didn't throw down a monster jam, but he did make a post:

Mark Pope went from resignation to rejoicing to back to business in 30 seconds:

Karl-Anthony Towns had just one word:

Tod Lanter was similar:

I will end this post with maybe the best version of Otega Oweh's game tying 3:
