This past season, Kentucky alumnus Karl-Anthony Towns led the Knicks to their first NBA title since 1973, and the former blue and white big man is cashing in on the resulting influence. At Fanatics Fest this weekend, Towns is set to appear for event-goers, and he'll charge $327 a pop for his signature, per Sports Card Investor.
I love KAT, of course, and collecting cards is something that brings sports fans of all allegiances and fanbases together; for a lot of fans, it's something they've done since they were kids. Still, there's a huge difference between shelling out $300 bucks for an autograph and $30 for a booster pack.
But I'm sure a ton of Knicks fans will, and from KAT's perspective, the alternative is probably lines out of the building for a less expensive signature. Fanatics Fest, and the crowds therein, are no joke.

Fanatics Fest is the Sports Collecting Convention to Beat
Fanatics is a massive brand in sports, I'm sure I don't have to tell you that. From WWE to college and professional sports, across the board, if you're wearing a hat or jersey the chances are that Fanatics had at least some touch in the process. That excludes Nike, Puma, and Reebok, but you get the point.
And on top of that, Fanatics brings athletes of every sport, actors, wrestlers, and musicians together for one massive convention at the Javits Center in New York. It's no wonder why people come from all around to attend and, in the same vein, no wonder how the prices get so high.
Alongside Towns, LeBron James, Tom Brady, Travis Scott, Kevin Hart, Cody Rhodes, Diana Taurasi, David Beckham, and Mario Andretti are just a few of the legendary names that are appearing throughout the weekend. For a full list of the stars inbound, you can click here.
For KAT specifically, he earned himself "goat" status in New York, and really in the NBA as a whole, for taking the Knicks back to the promised land. It's hard to blame this former Cat (spelled with a "C" this time) for popping out like this.
