A few days ago, there were reports that the new head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Bill Belichick, was recruiting his friend Vince Marrow to join his coaching staff. There was uncertainty about what Marrow would do and if this would be the time he would change positions, especially with one program on the rise and another on the decline.

Sports reporter Sarandon Raboin of WHAS 11 posted today that she has talked with Marrow, and he's planning to stick with Kentucky and Mark Stoops.

For those who want to see Stoops and Marrow rebuild the Kentucky football program, this is a good sign. Marrow is the top recruiter for Kentucky and one of the ones helping to bring in top talent via the transfer portal. In a season where so many players are leaving, Marrow will be instrumental in bringing in players that can help the Wildcats next season and into the future.

However, it doesn't take a sleuth to see that there is still some hesitation in what he is saying or how he is saying it. "They can expect him back for next season" is still not a very strong definite stance of "I'm not leaving," but it is a positive sign that the North Carolina opportunity currently isn't good enough to make him want to leave. Does this mean Bill Belichick needs to look elsewhere or does he need to sweeten the pot to get Marrow to fully come be a Tar Heel? Does Marrow still have his binoculars out and is looking around? Or is he truly content to rebuild what was destroyed over the last few years? These will be the questions that need to be monitored as the situation develops.

One thing is sure: there will still be a bunch of changes coming and going for Kentucky football. It could only be players, but there may still be some coaching changes on the horizon.
