Flip season is in full swing as many recruits are reconsidering their verbal commitments as the high school season brings more interest from different programs and as college programs get through their own seasons. NIL money and the ability to leverage your high school seasons can often impact these changes, too.

Two decommitments are currently on the Kentucky Wildcats' radar. Both were recruiting targets before they committed to other schools. Now that they are open again, the Wildcats have re-engaged and are looking to flip them to Kentucky.

The first player who decommitted from another school is Dawayne Galloway Jr., who is a 4-star DB from Ohio. He was verbally committed to Purdue but had taken his official visit to Kentucky back in the summer (June 18).

Kentucky Sports Radio is reporting that Kentucky is back in the mix for Galloway Jr. and will look to flip him to the Wildcats. This weekend he will be in Illinois visiting the Illini for their game against none other than Purdue, the team he just decommitted from.

The second player is another defensive back but is projected to play safety at the next level: Dyllon Williams, a 3-star playmaker from Alabama. He was a verbal commitment to Missouri but has decided to look for other opportunities.

Kentucky is also back in the mix for Williams, according to Chris Beasmore, who also says that Mississippi State has reached out. Kentucky may be the favorite to land Williams, at least many are predicting this, even though it's early (or maybe it's late, depending on who you ask).

According to 24/7 Sports, Kentucky has the 24th-best 2025 football recruiting class in the nation. They have 18 players committed and are looking to add a few more. If they are able to flip both of these players, that ranking will only continue to rise.
