John Wall did just about everything but win a championship in Lexington. His efforts to usher in the John Calipari era helped redefine the program in the best way on the heels of one of Kentucky's worst stretches in history with Billy Gillispie. Now seemingly only because Coach Cal is now a Razorback, the Arkansas Men's Basketball X account is making a random effort to claim John Wall as one of their own.
Wall, who was fittingly decked out in blue, went to watch the Razorbacks compete in this year's Baha Mar Hoops Summer League.
As a result, the Arkansas account posted: "It's okay [John Wall], you can call the Hogs with us." The result, as anyone on either side should've guessed, was a full-on attack from Cats fans who would never let Calipari's new squad get away with this.

Wall is one of Lexington's own in a way that few other players can claim; him showing out to support his former coach is much different than any sort of change in allegienace. Don't believe me? Wall himself said the very same, not even one month ago.
John Wall Has Already Reaffirmed His Loyalty to Lexington
In a July interview with Kyle Tucker, Wall addressed this issue, saying, "I'm always going to support Cal because he's the coach who gave me the opportunity to live out one of my dreams, but the University of Kentucky is the one that let me put on the jersey."
Guess the Hogs missed the memo here?
Look, I'm not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, but I'm clearly not the only Kentuckian that was put off by this sentiment. Judging by the 100+ replies (a number that's still cllimbing) on that post, I think it's safe to say that Cats fans wanted their voices heard on this one.
Now, as far as Kentucky goes in the modern day, there's only one way to fully set this right: Beat Arkansas... again.
Kentucky Can Get the Best Revenge Possible on Arkansas
Mark Pope's year-one loss to John Calipari and his Razorbacks at Rupp Arena was an undeniable lowlight of that season, but he helped make it up with an upset win against Arkansas on the road last season.
Now, in year three - and with Arkansas apparently ready to try and lay claim on legendary blue and white alumni - Pope has a chance to set the record straight in Lexington come February of next year.
It's a positive chance on two fronts: One, with the opportunity to improve to 2-1 over Calipari since replacing him here, and two, to smack the Razorbacks on the wrist for their insistence on getting a little too close to some of Kentucky's guys.
You can have Brad Calipari and Kenny Payne, but John Walls stays with the Wildcats.
