Boy, if you love college basketball, did it deliver in a big way for you Wednesday night. You had buzzer-beaters, massive comebacks, undefeated teams going down, and a little bit of everything you want as a hoops fan.
And it's not even March yet.
Kentucky starts the night with a huge comeback and game-winner
It wasn't pretty. The Cats were down 18, but Kentucky went on the road and got a huge win. When Otega Oweh missed the potential game-tying free throw, BBN thought another game was gone. But two missed LSU free throws later, Kentucky had one final chance.
Collin Chandler asked Mark Pope to allow him to be the inbounder, something Pope did. Chandler threw it long, and with just over a second left, a 7-foot freshman caught it, turned around, and drained a jumper for a victory. Mark Pope threw his hands up, and like Pope, we will "take the win."

SMU's Boopie Miller from 50 feet
SMU and Virginia Tech were going down to the wire. Jaden Schutt nailed a 3-pointer with 29 seconds left, pushing Virginia Tech’s lead back to four. After an SMU layup and two missed Virginia Tech free throws, the ball found Boopie Miller. The rest, as they say, is history.
Miller launched a heave from 50 feet at the horn—nothing but net.

Travis Perry part of an instant classic
In Athens, No. 21 Georgia was facing a desperate Ole Miss team who needed to get a win at just 9-6. Ole Miss overcame a 5-point halftime deficit to force overtime.
Former Cat Travis Perry played a huge role, knocking down big shots to keep the Rebels in it. He finished the night14 points on 4 of 7 from deep. In the final seconds of OT, Marcus Millender nailed two clutch free throws with 10 seconds left to tie it up for Georgia. AJ Storr got a shot off for Ole Miss, and Georgia watched as Patton Pinkins tipped it in at the buzzer to shock the Bulldogs.

The chaos didn't stop there
But that wasn't all. Stanford knocked off No. 14 UNC 95-90, and Vanderbilt was finally knocked from the undefeated ranks as Texas ran away from the No. 10 Commodores 80-64. Texas is different when they can play on their home court.
It was a wild night in college hoops, and it is just January. March is going to be a blast.
