Kentucky Football: If the Cats hope to beat Georgia all the stars must align
By Eric Thorne
In the end, it’s all mental and how will Kentucky handle the pressure
Kentucky has gotten the Florida monkey off its back the past few seasons and now has taken down LSU. They don’t play the Tigers enough to warrant a monkey, but beating an SEC West team when you have the chance is huge.
The gorilla sitting on top of the Wildcats now is Georgia.
Is Kentucky mentally prepared and poised enough to take down the Dawgs who are the best team in the land to boot?
The players seem confident. The coaches are confident. The fans want it.
I thought White summed it up very well with this observation.
"“What I feel with this group is, they understand the magnitude of this game. But they also understand that it is game seven of a 12-game season. They’re approaching it, and their approach to the week has been how we approached the last six weeks. Try not to make the game bigger than it is. If you make it too big, that usually never turns out to be a good thing.”"
Kentucky and Georgia kickoff at 3:30 pm EST on Saturday afternoon with ESPN GameDay on hand.
