850. Prediction. 38. 833. 17

Kentucky makes Shane Beamer regret taking the job.

Kentucky and South Carolina will meet for the 33rd time on September 25th, Kentucky has won six out of the last seven causing the all-time series to get even closer at 18-13 with Carolina having the advantage. Stoops has owned South Carolina since he arrived in Lexington, going 6-3 against the Gamecocks.

South Carolina is coming off a terrible season finishing at 2-8, which led to the firing of head coach Will Muschamp much to the delight of South Carolina fans. Muschamp had been public enemy No. 1 in recent years at South Carolina, the fanbase was never sold on the coach from the getgo and never believed he would return Carolina to the levels Steve Spurrier and they weren’t wrong and Muschamp’s 28-30 record would confirm that.

The Wildcats 41-18 win last year was the largest margin in the series for a Kentucky win.

South Carolina should be on shaky ground when Kentucky rolls into Columbia, they will have been theoretically absolutely demolished the week prior when they have to travel to Athens to face Georgia.

I fully expect Kentucky to take advantage of that, even in what will likely be a very hostile Williams-Brice Stadium. South Carolina fans are still under the belief like many other SEC fanbases that they’re better than Kentucky. Perennially losing to Kentucky every year I suppose isn’t an indication to them where the programs are.

I expect a veteran Kentucky team to come ready to play, and not to be disturbed by a rowdy crowd in Columbia.

Kentucky comes out on the attack early and should be in control the entire game. South Carolina won’t have an answer on either side of the ball. If this were not an SEC caliber opponent I would have this game be much more lopsided… see Louisville 2019.

If Kentucky were to stumble here going into the meat of it schedule that could hurt, but the Wildcats will win easily and are undefeated at 4-0.
