Kentucky Football: Mark Stoops, Lynn Bowden, Kash Daniel, Logan Stenberg saddle up for 2019 SEC Football Media Days in Hoover, Alabama

Kentucky Football and Mark Stoops. To quote Good Morning Vietnam:

"It’s hot. Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts. I could cook things in it. A little crotch pot cooking. Well, can you tell me what it feels like?. Fool, it’s hot! I told you again! Were you born on the sun? It’s damn hot! It’s so damn hot, I saw little guys, their orange robes burst into flames. It’s that hot!"

Thursday, July 18th, the final day of SEC Football Media Days will feature the Kentucky Football program. Senior linebacker Kash Daniel, senior offensive lineman Logan Stenberg, and junior wide receiver Lynn Bowden will join head coach Mark Stoops on the podium to answer meaningless questions and ramble about football nonsense while a swarm of media figures out any way possible to twist quotes and spin narratives heading into the 2019 season. I’m pumped.

More from Wildcat Blue Nation

I’m kidding. What I’m really pumped about is Kentucky’s actual football season which comes on the heels of arguably the best season in program history since the beginning of the Cold War. SEC Football Media Days, however, are an impressive waste of time. If forced to go I would certainly submit a Ferris Bueller impersonation to my bosses. Salute to the mighty big J journalists out there grinding away the week in Hoover, Alabama. There might be a Nathan’s Hot Dog stand close by. And it’s national hot dog day so knock yourself out!

Despite my personal disdain for the event, I’ll write stories in the coming days about SEC Media Days because some of you love obsessing over July football coach speak. I’m just hoping Hank the dairy farmer from Tuscaloosa doesn’t dig this article up and charge at me with a pitchfork since this crap is scripture for Bama fans.

The only way I could imagine this event being interesting from a Kentucky perspective is if Kash Daniel showed up wearing overalls or if Lynn Bowden just read off his tweets instead of answering questions. Actually, I like that idea. Bowden stepping up to the podium and huffing, “Don’t nobody kall me Bruh, Bro, brother none of that ion fool with ya like that” or “@FortniteGame please bring back regular tilted please greasy.” Those are the thoughts I really care about. At the very least it would be worth it to see Paul Finebaum have to talk about quotes like that for four hours on his Television show.

SEC Football. It’s right around the corner.
