4. I Love the Davidson offensive scheme

Tip your cap to the fellas in red tonight. Davidson has a terrific offensive motion, lots of curl and flare screens. Of course they’re a great three-point shooting team, but they also read screens really well. The curls off the high screen gave Cats trouble, but also slipping screens for open layups too.

Davidson’s open three-point shots also came from the screener “popping” after setting a screen. When the UK defenders would help on the cutter off the screen, the screener would pop and shoot. The Davidson offense was really, really good. Most games, I really wish Calipari would utilize a similar offensive scheme.
