4. Three-game winning streak

The Kentucky basketball team is now on a 3-game win streak. The amount of games that UK has won is not important in itself. What’s important is that the Cats are playing really good basketball and getting results. It’s important that Kentucky doesn’t just have momentum, they’re continuing to build momentum.

The win streak is also vital because it proves that the Cats CAN win several games in a row. This is important because the Cats have proof that they can go win the SEC Tournament. It also shows the Wildcats now know they can make a run in the NCAA Tournament.

It should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyways. This 3-game win streak also solidifies Kentucky’s presence in the NCAA Tournament. For a while, BBN experienced anxiety and fear as the Wildcats went on a 4-game losing streak. Chatter grew darker and darker, and Big Blue Nation starting talking about bubble watches and NIT possibilities. BBN can now put that speculation to rest, as the Cats are not only in the tournament for sure, but also looking at a potential 5-seed.
