5. Bench production, WOW!

How about it BBN? Give a MONSTROUS shout out to the players off the bench! Quade Green, Jarred Vanderbilt, and PJ Washington were studs off the bench tonight. If the Wildcats continue to get the production off the bench that they did tonight, look out NCAA!

For a team this young and inexperienced, it’s important to have solid players coming off the bench. I have always loved the coach’s mantra of “next man up”. This is definitely true of this season’s Kentucky Wildcats.

If Hamidou Diallo is struggling, Vanderbilt comes right in. Nick Richards can disappear throughout games; bring in Washington. If Wenyen Gabriel isn’t performing well, John doesn’t hesitate to bring in Green. And if Coach Cal wants to use more size or post versatility, Sacha Killeya-Jones will come off the bench. It’s exciting to watch this team when they’re playing well and playing together. And as BBN can see now, that definitely includes the players off the bench.
