5. NCAA Tournament Seeding

This loss is going to cost UK at least one spot in the NCAA tournament seeding. The loss at Tennessee is much more credible than this one. A loss to Auburn, or Florida, or maybe even Arkansas are excusable. But this loss, to a struggling South Carolina team is going to hurt. Most years it wouldn’t concern me as much. But this year it’s a legitimate concern because this Kentucky basketball team will need all the help it can get. However, NCAA tournament games are on neutral courts, and that of course benefits a young and easily rattled UK team.
