I thought Nick Richards had a pretty good game, compared to previous SEC games at least. I still don’t think the Kentucky Wildcats are at their best with Richards on the floor, but the Cats do need him. If Knox and Diallo continue to struggle, that makes the play of Richards all the more important. It still isn’t clear whether Richards can provide more on offense than Sacha Killeya-Jones, but he did rebound well. Big Blue Nation isn’t convinced Richards is a solid defensive player because he’s always in foul trouble. The physical presence of Richards in the paint is important for Kentucky’s SEC success.
