Shocky Jacques-Louis was once a solid Kentucky Football commit. Even after decommitting on June 11, he still includes the Wildcats in his top five.
Kentucky Football lost a commitment from the talented wide receiver in June. With Jacques-Louis, Kentucky was getting an underrated athlete who will have a bright future ahead of him. Now, the Florida native is trimming his commitment list down to five schools.
Kentucky, luckily, makes the list. Although a number of other schools are vyin
g for this kid’s talent, Kentucky still has a strong hold on him. According to 247Sports, Wildcats’ quarterback coach, Darin Hinshaw was the lead recruiter on Louis. He, and Eddie Gran are hitting the Florida area hard recently.
Included in his final list are Kentucky, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Michigan and Missouri. As of today, Tennessee would probably lead in his recruitment with Kentucky not far behind.
Good Ole’ “Shocky Top”
Shocky is, first of all, already a member of the “All-Name” team. He has one of the better names I’ve seen in quite some time. If Kentucky had made a big enough impression a few months ago for him to commit to them, he still must have strong connection with the staff. Tennessee has been mentioned in doses as a possible destination as well. Following along his Twitter account would lead one to believe that he likes the Vols a lot.
Shocky Top? I don’t really like the ring to it, but it seems to be a selling point for a lot of Vols fans. It’s a great t-shirt idea. But, Kentucky will still make a strong push to snag Shocky away from rocky top.
