The Kentucky Baseball team will be gearing up to take on the Ohio Bobcats in their opening game of the Lexington Regional of the NCAA Tournament.

Friday at noon, Kentucky Baseball will take on the MAC Champions in The Ohio Bobcats. The game will kick off the first NCAA Regional game in Lexington since 2006. That is the first game of the afternoon. Following the Kentucky/Ohio matchup will be the NC State Wolfopack taking on the Indiana Hoosiers. The regional will play as a double elimination tournament. The winner will advance to the NCAA Super Regional in Louisville.

The Bracket:

In what will shape up to be a huge weekend of competitive baseball, Head Coach Nick Mingione would love to see the BBN out in full force in support of his team.

Tickets Information:

Tickets are available right now for whole session packages. Single session tickets will go on sale Thursday, June 1 at 9:00 am ET. Fans can purchase tickets to a single game or whole session here.

The Cliff will be packed to the rim for the regional action. It’s just the second time in the program’s history that Kentucky will host a regional. What better way to wrap up the lifetime of Cliff Hagan Stadium than to go out with a regional victory. Be sure that you’re there to see it go down.

NCAA Tournament Bracket

The rest of the bracket is spread out to fifteen other regional sites. The road to Omaha is a long a weary one and the Kentucky Wildcats are ready to take the trip. Kentucky is the only team in the SEC that has not made a trip to the College World Series. This season looks to possibly be the year that Coach Mingione and his staff can take the Cats to the Midwest.

Be sure that you’re keeping up with the Wildcats as they take this journey to Omaha. They need the support from the BBN. Show out in full force this weekend as Kentucky Baseball takes the first step toward history.
