Recruiting guru, Vince Marrow is at it again with Ohio offensive tackle Darian Kinnard. The four-star tackle committed to Kentucky Football late last night.

The commitment makes the seventh pledge to the Kentucky Football program for the 2018 class. The class includes three commits from the Buckeye State and the other four from Florida.

Kinnard, a four-star recruit according to 247Sports, joins a list of impressive commits so far early in the recruiting period. Primary recruiters have been Eddie Gran as well as Vince Marrow. The duo have so far, worked two of the more football wealthy states in order to build Kentucky’s next great flock of stars.

What does Kinnard Bring to the Table?

Kinnard is built like an NFL offensive tackle. He has the frame at 6-foot-7 and surpassing 330 pounds. It looks as though on film, the young man has the strength to move defenders in the run game.

With his size and strength, the St. Ignatius senior-to-be will most certainly get more attention from powerhouse schools. Located in Cleveland, Ohio Kinnard will be well sought after when it comes to his recruitment. An early pledge to the Wildcats is a plus but Kentucky has struggled to hold on to a few individuals with big time offers.

Currently, Kinnard holds offers from UCLA, West Virginia, Penn State, Purdue, Pitt, Maryland and Minnesota among others. Ohio State hasn’t offered quite yet, but with the raw talent on the field, it would be hard to believe Urban Meyer won’t throw some bait at this kid.

The Class of 2018 so Far:

The recruiting class of 2018 is starting to come together. Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow have done some great work up to this point in the year to land offers before the high school season is set to kick off. Now, all the Kentucky Football Staff has to do is retain these commitments. It has been a tough few weeks for Kentucky fans as they mourn the loss of Quarterback commitment Jarren Williams. Williams decided to decommit from the Cats just days after receiving an offer from Alabama.

The phenomenon that Alabama swoops in and offers kids already committed to Kentucky Football has shown true more times than not. Let’s hope Marrow and the rest of the staff have better luck with Darian Kinnard.
