Bam Adebayo just finished his freshman season in Lexington. The Kentucky Basketball forward had a great season for the Cats in 2016-17. Bam makes this list based purely off of his performances late in the season. The man was an absolute terror on the defensive glass. Adebayo worked all season to improve his play and it showed up in light of the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.

The North Carolina native chose to come to Kentucky to play for Coach Calipari because of his reputation for developing big men. If anyone on last season’s team developed the most, it would have to be Bam Adebayo. Bam nearly averaged a double-double on the season with 13 points and eight rebounds per game. Adebayo dominated on the glass throughout the second half of the season.

A developed offensive game allowed for Adebayo to emphasize his strength and presence in the paint as the year went on. The increase in offensive skill level with the basketball in his hand could not go unnoticed. Bam has declared for the 2017 NBA Draft, but has not hired an agent. The big man could possibly return to Lexington for a second season.
