Schedule Sets Up Big Season

Not playing Alabama, Auburn and LSU, and facing rivals Louisville, Florida and Tennessee at home could lead to upsets in our favor. Also, former quarterbacks Josh Dobbs (Tennessee) and Austin Appleby (Florida) graduated, and less experienced quarterbacks will likely replace them. The only caveat here is that the SEC East and Mississippi State have excellent, young talent at the quarterback position returning for next year. After all, Kentucky’s opponents were a combined 53-61 for the 2016 campaign.

This may be a “now or never” situation. Can Kentucky continue to make the necessary growth to compete in the SEC? Will the Cats take advantage of a somewhat underwhelming schedule? Can Kentucky get to the elusive ninth win that they have not seen since 1984? I say yes. The answers will become clear starting on Friday, April 14th, at 7:30pm during the Blue-White spring game.

Go Cats!
