Leading the Pass Rush

Josh Allen, a Junior-to-be linebacker from New Jersey is our eighth top performer of 2016. Allen led the Wildcats with seven sacks. Allen racked up 62 total tackles and was third on the team in tackles for loss. The Outside linebacker had 8.5 tackles for loss which ultimately equaled to a loss of 49 yards for opponents.

Allen, just a sophomore in 2016, is another young defender for the Kentucky Football defense. At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Allen’s athleticism and length give him the ability to protect the edge and come hard at opposing quarterbacks. Tight ends are too weak to block him, and offensive tackles are too slow to catch him. Allen will be a huge contributor in 2017 as the Wildcats look to build upon the success of 2016.
