If you have been itching for your UK sports fix to suffice your addiction due to last weeks bye week, then you my friend are in luck. This weekend is full of everything Kentucky Wildcats sports and you can attend every event without leaving Lexington. This could be one the best weekends for UK sports that I can remember. First we start off on thursday with a Kentucky football game at Commonwealth Stadium against the Tigers of Auburn who beat Louisville earlier in the season. Then, the next day on Friday we have the always illustrious Big Blue Madness, and man do we have some big time recruits attending that. Lastly, you’ll get your shot to see former number 1 overall pick, Anthony Davis take on fellow Kentucky Wildcats Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins and Willie Trill Cauley-Stien as the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Sacramento Kings at Rupp Arena. It will be a great couple of days! Lets go over each event for each day.

Auburn started the year as the 6th best team in the nation and pretty much dominated Louisville in the first game of the season. Since then, Auburn has kind of fallen off as now their record is 3-2 after losing to LSU by 23 and losing at home to Mississippi State. According to an article by Bleacher Report Auburn’s bowl hopes may very well rest on this upcoming Kentucky game, which should make for a very tough, competitive game.

Auburn does seem to be a little confused as to who their quarterback will be on Thursday, which can only help Kentucky’s chances to win. They started off the season with Heisman hopeful Jeremy Johnson, who was benched after the LSU game. Then, came in red-shirt freshman Sean White who, not terrible, hasn’t been the saving grace that Gus Malzahn and his coaches had hoped. So now the quarterback race is open again and they only have till Thursday to figure it out. The longer they wait, the longer the starting QB goes without starting reps with first team in practice.

Meanwhile, Kentucky is feeling pretty good about themselves after the comeback win over Eastern Kentucky and might be feeling pretty confident going into this game.

You can still get tickets to the game on ticketmaster.com though there are not many tickets left. You can also always get tickets on stubhub as well

Friday: Big Blue Madness – Rupp Arena 7:30 on SEC Network

trick. Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that Kentucky was stepping off the court after their devastating final four exit against Wisconsin? It does to me. As far as I am concerned, this is where I finally get over the Wisconsin loss and start focusing on number 9 for this season. No more will I replay images in my head of the that game and all its misery.  This marks the start of the 2015-2016 season and I. AM. PUMPED! This team will not lack on the offensive end at all. Of the top 5 PGs in college this season, Kentucky arguably has 3 of the top 5 in Tyler Ulis, Isaiah Briscoe and Jamal Murray and you will get to see them all in action Friday night. Not only will you get to see them in action, for the first time ever in the history of this event will the entire game be broadcast on TV. You can catch all the festivities on SEC Network.

That’s not the only good news about Big Blue Madness. Kentucky will host a whole heap of top talent for the upcoming recruiting classes. Harry Giles, De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk and Marques Bolden will all attend Big Blue Madness. WOW. This is probably one of the best groups of recruits that we have ever hosted for Big Blue Madness. Honestly, I think we land 3 of those guys.

Saturday: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings exhibition – Rupp Arena 7:00pm

Here’s your chance to catch four former Kentucky Wildcats play in their old home as you cheer them on. Rising NBA super star Anthony Davis will make his return to Rupp Arena accompanying his New Orleans Pelicans teammates. Then, on the other side you have the triple double machine himself Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins and Willie Cauley-Stein. You can bet that Rupp will be loud when either of them score in this preseason game. Everyone of these players should be starting, yes even Willie.

Other than Anthony Davis’ commercials this off season, there really hasn’t been much news from those four players to report, except the one story that came out about Willie last week. Last week there was a report that Willie Cauley-Stein was out of shape and could not keep up in practices. Is it because of his sickle cell issue he suffers from? Who knows, but if you looked at him at Kentucky he didn’t look or act out of shape at all, though that can all change in the off season. In my opinion, I think he’ll be fine.

Enjoy the next couple of days folks, it’ll be awesome.
