The NBA season is not too far away, so what better to get you ready for the season than watching the best of the best compete? Team USA could be stock piled with not one or two, but possibly even three former Kentucky Wildcats on the roster.

Wearing the Team USA logo across your chest is a great accomplishment. Being the team leader for Team USA is an even bigger one. Former Kentucky Wildcat Anthony Davis could be the key to a 2016 gold medal.
"During the 2012 London Olympics, the teenaged Davis was just along for the ride as an injury fill-in, looking like everyone’s kid brother and playing only spot minutes. A lot has changed since then, with Davis emerging as one of the stars of the 2014 FIBA World Cup team that won gold in Spain before earning All-NBA First Team honors and leading the Pelicans to the playoffs for the first time during his career."
Two other former Cats could find their way to the roster. One just scored 91 points in a charity game and the other was on the recent cover of Slam Magazine. The best duo to do it under John Calipari, DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall.
Anthony Davis is a lock for the roster, but the latter are up for question. For Cousins, it is not a question of his talent level more as his attitude. Wall on the other hand, that is all based on the high competition level.
In the NBA, whether critics would like to admit it or not has evolved from Dwight Howard as the top center, to DeMarcus Cousins. 24 points per game along side 12 rebounds is too much to pass on for Team USA. Plus, his size will be much needed against the heavy competition from Spain.
Wall on the other hand, as hard as it is to say will likely not make the final roster. Even as a top five point guard in the NBA, beating the likes of the MVP Stephen Curry and the scoring champion Russell Westbrook are not very high. It does not help his odds either that Kyrie Irving is a former player of Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Despite that, watching each of them play is always still a treat. Tune in today for some basketball action on NBAtv at 3:30 eastern time.
