The Kentucky Wildcats have been at the bottom tier of the SEC in football for as long as I have been watching football. However, behind Mark Stoop their has been positive vibes for future success.

One step in turning around the football program for the better was a better stadium. Commonwealth has been dull and unattractive to the common eye. With the new renovations it should be very helpful on the recruiting trail. The latest improvement… The turf!

Under the tenure of John Calipari, it has become expected that every top recruit will suit up for the Kentucky Wildcats. While drastic and highly unrealistic, many top tier players have worn that jersey and worn it well, so why have so many chose to snub the Cats this off season?

That question is a tough one to answer, but adding Jamal Murray to the equation would eliminate any questions. After Murray’s visit to Lexington, he has decided that he will not be taking his trip to Oregon this weekend. What does this mean, nothing but pure speculation at the moment. However, it can not be bad news… Murray will decide in the next month on his class and future team.

"Jamal Murray canceled his plans to visit Oregon this weekend, his father told Chris Fisher over at The Cats Pause. Following his trip to Lexington, Murray said he will take other visits before making any kind of a decision, and Oregon was to be the first stop."

The SEC is the most dominant conference when it comes to football and has the most successful basketball program in the nation in the Kentucky Wildcats. One thing that the conference has done better than most, is hold itself to a higher standard.

To show their diligence to success and commitment to character, the league has enforced a new rule denying transfers with severe misconduct issues. This will unlikely effect the Kentucky Wildcats with not many transfers coming into the program. However, it is a great image for the conference and a great day to be apart of the SEC.

"A proposal by Georgia to ban transfers with “serious misconduct” issues was officially passed by the league’s presidents on Friday. The new rule specifies “serious misconduct” as sexual assault, domestic violence or other forms of sexual violence while enrolled at another school. The proposal sis not specify between misdemeanors and felonies."
