SEPTEMBER 26
MISSOURI TIGERS (11-3)
They lost six starters on both offense and defense, but the Tigers are still going to compete for the SEC East Title. Missouri has not had any problems with Kentucky since they joined the conference and even though this game is in Lexington, that trend should continue.
Matty Mauk struggled a bit last season, but he should be improved in his second full season as starter. He lost a lot of talent in the WR position and has a very inexperienced group of targets, but by the end of September, this offense will be clicking. Russell Hansbrough and four starters return on the line so this offense will still be potent.
There will be a bit of re-tooling on defense, especially on the line but the linebacker corp and secondary return a good bit of talent. Kentucky will be better too, but I just don’t see much of a chance at an upset, even at home.
