FLORIDA GATORS (7-5)

Probably at no time during “The Streak” have the Gators and Wildcats been this close in talent. And this Kentucky team knows they let a win get away from them last season in Gainesville and they will be determined to finally beat the Gators in front of their home fans.

Make no mistake, Florida has some issues but they are not as bad as last season indicated. However, they have huge questions as to who their starting quarterback will be and have massive holes to fill on the offensive line. The Gators will be looking for offensive playmakers to emerge. There is still a lot of talent here, but it has to click under new coach Jim McElwain. The defensive core of the Gators return however, minus Dante Fowler.

Last year, Kentucky had several opportunities to put the Gators away but could not do it. And if they could have, this would have been a bowl team last year. I think this team will be circling this game on the calendar this year and looking for another shot at the Gators. It will be a tough game as Florida still has more talent, but this Kentucky team will end the streak this year. For the third straight game this year, Kentucky should have the better offense and they will not leave missed opportunities behind.
