As expected, Karl-Anthony Towns was very humble about the prospect of being the number one pick overall.  No matter where Towns goes, he will be a success.  Here is a bit of what the former Wildcat had to say after the draft positions were revealed.

"Not since Orlando won the right to pick Dwight Howard in 2004 had the NBA’s ultimate game of chance came out in favor of the team with the best odds. The Timberwolves had a 25 percent chance of landing the top pick after finishing 16-66. “It would be a blessing and an honor to even have a chance to play for Minnesota and be able to have the chance to play for a great organization and learn from a great mentor like Kevin Garnett,” Towns told SNY.tv at the lottery. Asked if he was ready for the cold weather in Minnesota, Towns cracked a broad smile and said, “Of course, I’m from Jersey. We’re used to snow, we’re used to cold weather.” The Lakers pick No. 2 in the Draft, the 76ers pick third, while Towns’ hometown Knicks dropped to fourth. “Wherever he goes he’s going to make a team better,” Ed Bright, Towns’ AAU director with Sports U, told SNY.tv. “As a local guy of course you’re disappointed that the Knicks aren’t at least the second team. Here’s a kid that worked really hard and deserves a lot of good things. “You never know, maybe the Knicks can make a deal. You don’t know how things are going to work out. It’s a long way between now and the NBA Draft.”"

Next on board for the Kentucky Wildcats and John Calipari?  The Jamal Murray decision.  Murray is still in Lexington (per some outlets) but still has to make the decision as to whether to reclassify.  You would think that he has made that decision since he is on campus.  Keep in mind that Murray was slated to visit about a month ago but cancelled to think about reclassifying.  So whether a commitment come soon or not is up in the air.  The folks at A Sea of Blue talked to one of the top Canadian scouts and here is what the Kentucky Wildcats could be getting.

"How long have you been watching Jamal Murray play basketball and if you could compare his style of play to someone, who would that be? I’ve read a lot of comparisons to Jason Kidd. (Sbiet) We discovered Jamal in May of 2012 at the Adidas Tri-City camp in his hometown of Kitchener. In terms of comparisons, he represents the new age PG. People always wonder what position he plays and I always say, he’s a play maker that can run your team as a lead guard, but also create from the 2 spot and carry a team as a primary scorer. A high level guard that will give his coach what he needs. Not a fan of making these comparisons because Jamal is his own player, but if I had a gun at my head: John Wall, D-Rose mold in terms of being a big playmaking guard. Of course Jamal does not have the same natural explosiveness, but is a better shooter. Jamal’s mental toughness, focus and maturity is what separates him from most. Intangibles."
