Now that the Spring practice is over for the Kentucky Wildcats football team, it’s time to start taking a good hard look at the upcoming season. The folks at 24/7 Sports looked at the top question facing each SEC team and here is the big question facing Kentucky.

"Kentucky: Can the Wildcats replace Bud Dupree? Bud Dupree was an absolute force for Kentucky in 2014 and has a chance to be taken early in the first round of the NFL Draft. Replacing him at the Wildcats’ hybrid linebacker position won’t be easy. A few returning players plus some junior college transfers are competing for the positions vacated by Dupree and defensive end Za’Darius Smith, and the coaching staff currently seems to feel pretty good about what they have to work with."

The Kentucky Wildcats have a very solid 2015 class thus far and they can chalk that up to a couple of key state commitments.  Actually the top rated players in the Wildcats class hail from the Commonwealth.

"Woodford County offensive lineman Drake Jackson is now ranked as the No. 1 center and No. 101 overall player in the class of 2016. Lafayette offensive lineman Landon Young is considered the No. 19 offensive tackle and No. 186 overall recruit. Both four-star players have committed to Kentucky. There are no other UK commitments in the new Scout.com Top 300, but several of the Cats’ pledges are still well regarded. UK commitments with three-star rankings from Scout include wide receivers Zy’Aire Hughes and Dakota Holtzclaw, cornerbacks Davonte Robinson, Jordan Griffin and Tobias Gilliam, defensive end Jaylin Bannerman and linebacker Roland Walder."
