Could the Kentucky Wildcats have found their quarterback for the 2016 class? It’s now official that **** QB Austin Kendall has de-committed from Tennessee and the Wildcats appear to be in very good shape here.

"His decision to look elsewhere is a major development for Kentucky, which has recruited him heavily even after his commitment to Tennessee. Kendall — a 6-foot-3 prospect — is arguably UK’s top recruiting target in the class of 2016, regardless of position. Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the country and the No. 27 overall prospect, putting him five spots away from five-star status. Kendall has visited UK several times, the most recent trip coming during one of last month’s “junior day” events. His older brother Ryan is a walk-on wide receiver for the Wildcats. Auburn and Florida are among the other schools that will likely be on Kendall’s list as his recruitment progresses, but many analysts will consider Kentucky the favorite moving forward. Several UK commitments tweeted about Kendall’s decision Tuesday, including four-star offensive lineman Drake Jackson, who has vowed to actively recruit other top players to Lexington. “#BBN get on my close friend (Austin Kendall),” Jackson said. “We need this stud in blue and white!!! #B16BlueNation.”"

Patrick Towles will have several new targets this year as players like Jeff Badet redshirted last year and will be available.  And the 2016 class is shaping up well at the receiver spot with the addition of 6’6 JUCO WR  Kayaune Ross.  Ross talked about his commitment to UK recently and feels the Kentucky Wildcats are on the right path.

"“I’m super excited. It’s helping me look forward to my future and what God has planned,” Ross said. Ross believes that Kentucky is on the right track and Mark Stoops is preparing his program to make a big leap in the SEC. “(Joining Kentucky’s class) had a lot to do with the competition level. I only want the best and SEC is great exposure. It’s a great rising program and I want to be a part of something rising to be a top program and be able to help get us there,” Ross said. Ross joins what appears to be a very solid early recruiting class for the Wildcats. Ross feels like this class is top notch. “I like the way that some of the commits look forward to becoming a part of these class. They seem as excited as me and we also have great leaders in our class,” he finished. Ross will enroll in January 2016 so he can participate in spring practice."
