2010 – A team that had one senior (Josh Harrellson) and two juniors (Darius Miller, DeAndre Liggins), John Calipari and the Wildcats found their go-to guy in another freshmen, Brandon Knight. Knight, who started out the season quiet,  often encountered criticism that he didn’t lead the team, and frequently failed to demand the ball when the team needed a bucket, embraced the position during the late regular season and into the NCAA Tourament. His 0-7 start to the first round NCAA tournament game against Princeton that was followed by his drive to the lane with 2 seconds to go where he hit the go ahead runner, sealed his fate as this teams go-to guy.
