Kentucky Wildcats Football: Sizing up the needs in the 2013 recruiting class
By Kyle
Quarterback
The team needs to secure at least one QB in this class. With Morgan Newton set to use the remainder of his eligibility this fall and only two other scholarship players at the position, Kentucky needs another body. It is unlikely that the Cats will be able to persuade a highly touted QB to sign this winter after bringing in Patrick Towles in the last class, so an in-state player or a developmental prospect would be the best bet.

Running Back
The team will lose only CoShik Williams at season’s end and will still have Raymond Sanders, Jonathan George, Josh Clemons, DyShawn Mobley, and Justin Taylor on the roster. With a versatile stable of backs, this position should be a very low priority. DJ Warren was surprisingly effective as a true freshman at fullback, and looks to have that spot on lock down for the next three seasons. The team needs no more than one player here (if that), but that’s assuming that no further roster attrition is expected.
